Amiga Forever Value Edition

The Value Edition of Amiga Forever is our answer to PC users and Amiga enthusiasts who are looking for a quick, easy and inexpensive way to play downloadable games that are compatible with "Kickstart" ROM versions 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 and Workbench 1.3 (i.e. more than 70% of Amiga games). Everything, from the emulation engines (including WinUAE and WinFellow) to the disk-based operating system and additional Amiga programs, comes preconfigured in a compact archive which is ready to run immediately after the download. More than 25 games and more than 25 demoscene productions are included.

If you are not already familiar with Amiga Forever, the Value Edition is a complete, fast and inexpensive way to have an Amiga running inside your PC. If you have never used an Amiga before, you can now enjoy Amiga games, demos and productivity applications on your PC. Or surprise a friend or co-worker, switching on your PC monitor, and showing a fullscreen Amiga, indistinguishable from the original.

Value vs. Plus and Premium Editions

The Value Edition of Amiga Forever includes the same emulation, Workbench 1.3 and 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 "Kickstart" ROMs as the Plus Edition, but it does not include the other system versions, nor items of historical interest. This is sufficient to run a majority of Amiga games, but it does not include or support more sophisticated and modern Amiga applications, including some games.

The Value Edition, while including an uncompromising productivity and compatibility content, does not include the following items from the Plus Edition:

• KX Light boot option
• Gallery
• ROM and operating system file versions 0.7, 2.x, 3.x, etc.
• Amiga Explorer
• Personal Paint additional documentation and artwork

Amiga Forever also comes in a physical package, the Premium Edition, which includes the Plus Edition software and additional video content on 3 DVDs.

Windows vs. Other Platforms

Amiga Forever Value Edition comes in a dedicated Windows version, which is easy to install and run.

If you do not intend to use Amiga Forever on a Windows system we recommend that you purchase the Plus Edition or the Premium Edition, which include both Windows and non-Windows content.

Installation

To install the Windows version just run the downloaded setup file. If you would like to check the integrity of the file you can right-click it, select Properties, and check the digital signature.

Upgrades

If you purchase the Value Edition and later decide that you wish to upgrade to the Plus Edition or the Premium Edition of Amiga Forever, you can purchase an upgrade version at a special price.
